Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! Even if you've been here for a while, there is always something new about this most fascinating craft! As we know, all knitted fabrics are made using two basic stitches, knit and purl.
You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. Special kits are available that allow circular needles of various lengths and diameters to be made as needed; rigid ends of various diameters may be screwed into strands of various lengths. In weft knitting, the entire fabric may be produced from a single yarn, by adding stitches to each wale in turn, moving across the fabric as in a raster scan.
When you learn these simple stitches and stitch patterns, you can knit virtually any pattern that you wish. These yarns can be used in the sock-knitting machine. You could end up so good at it, and love it so much that you could start your own business.
Be sure to try using other available resources, such as local craft and hobby stores. It will just some time at the beginning, but you will learn and get experience.
