Double-pointed knitting needles usually come in sets of four (US size 1, on right) or five (US size 8, on left). You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. Not only will this provide a nice social outlet, but your new knitting friends may also be able to help you locate and use new knitting patterns and new ideas for knitting projects.
