knit or crochet romper pattern

Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! Even if you've been here for a while, there is always something new about this most fascinating craft! Let's start with some basic patterns.

These few basic knitting instructions are the foundation of any project you will ever knit. It doesn't care what month it is or what holiday is approaching, there is always something fun to knit. If the former, the stitch is denoted as a knit stitch; if the latter, as a purl stitch.

Fabrics in which the number of knit and purl stitches are not the same, such as stockinette, have a tendency to curl; by contrast, those in which knit and purl stitches are arranged symmetrically (such as ribbing, garter stitch or seed stitch) tend to lie flat and drape well. Double-pointed knitting needles usually come in sets of four (US size 1, on right) or five (US size 8, on left). A beginner is naturally clumsy because they are not comfortable with using two needles.

Knitting needles are given different numbers according to their measure. These five stitches, I believe, form the very foundation of knitting.

Even a beginner can make a simple scarf with novelty yarn in just a few hours, and have it look just fantastic. Brainstorm, and figure out which way of teaching would be best for you and your students!
